Ever wondered what Senior Services of Snohomish County has to offer?  Join us as we go to Senior Services for an informational meeting regarding the services they provide to assist older adults and people with disabilities.  After our informational meeting and tour we will have lunch at Buck’s American Cafe, home of the best peanut butter pie, homemade in house for 20 years.

6/15/2017 Women at Work: Uniforms & Work Wear @ White River Valley Museum

Join us as we go see professional women of the early and mid- 1900’s followed dreams and necessity to pursue careers and work that was often outside the norm- came with a price.  Held to different standards, which are especially easy to see in dress, women usually obliged and persevered.  Eight of the 16 ensembles on display are from Alice and Steve Miller’s collection who has assembled hundreds of women’s historic military and nursing uniforms complete from shoes to hats.  Each uniform on display brings with it the story of that profession and of the times.  After our tour we will go to Muckleshoot Casino for lunch with the many various restaurants around the casino floor one will meet every craving from Asian to American.  Lunch is on your own.  Sign up begins May 1, 2017.

6/21/2017 to 6/23/2017 Whales and Wildcards Adventure

Wednesday June 21, 2017 - Friday June 23, 2017 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm

Cost $270 per person for double occupancy or $390 per person for single occupancy

Join us as we go North to Silver Reef Casino for a two night stay where we will have complimentary breakfast buffet for two mornings, $10 off vouchers for two dinners, and $10 slot play for two days.  On Thursday June 22, 2017 we will go to Bellingham  to get  aboard San Juan Cruises to head out to look for some whales, spend two hours in Friday Harbor and then get back on the vessel for lunch at 1:00 pm and look for more whales on our way back to Bellingham returning around 5:30 pm back  to Casino for our second night.  On June 23rd, 2017 we will make our way leisurely home maybe explore Bellingham or drive down the Chuckanut Drive to make our way back to Snohomish.   The price includes transportation, lodging, whale watching, two breakfasts, two $10 off vouchers for dinner, and slot play.  Sign up begins April 3rd, 2017 at the SSC.

We will leave SSC @ 1:00 pm and return the afternoon or early evening on 6/23/2017.

6/28/2017 McMenamins North Shore Lagoon Restaurant

Join us as we go to McMenamins North Shore Lagoon located at the Anderson School in Bothell for dinner.   Moi Monolithic Polynesian status greet visitors at the North Shore Lagoon.  Venture inside, where bamboo from points near and far forms their “hut” and carved sandstone from Bail points your way.  Head upstairs, along the shimmer of paneling made from recycled teak 100 year old Balinese fishing boats; glance up at fixtures made from Balinese chicken cages and hand-blown glass.   Masks from New Guinea may seem to whisper to you. Sit on a bench of a Teak tree trunk pulled from a river in Bali, or perhaps the oil drum furniture from Indonesia.  Potions and cuisine from the South Seas, Caribbean, South American and those that once only existed in myth and books may be found.  Try one of the 80 rums.  All while taking in the grandeur of the swimming pool below flanked with Hawaiian plants and Balinese lychee tree sun carving looking down upon the waters.

8/18/2017 to 8/23/2017 Jazz, Oysters and Kites Getaway Long Beach, WA

Friday August 18, 2017 - Wednesday August 23, 2017 from 9:00am to 6:00pm

6 day and 5 night adventure

Update as of 4/24/17 we have one room available for 2 people it is a queen room in the Main house with a  soaking tub. 

Cost ranging from $350 to $500 per person (includes lodging, 10 meals and transportation)

5 night adventure with lodging in the Tinker House a 100 year old Victorian home located in Long Beach, WA which is located walking distance to both the beach ( 3 minutes) and downtown ( 5 minutes).  We will leave on Friday Aug 18th and leisurely make our way to Long Beach.  On Sat. Aug 19th we will go to the 19th annual Jazz & Oysters Festival.  More details to come.  Then on Monday Aug 21 and Tuesday Aug 22 we will enjoy the WA State International Kite Festival when Long Beach will boast skies ablaze with color, high flying action and choreographed  movement.  This kite festival draws famous kite fliers from all around the world.  You can bring a kite to join in the fun.    Sign ups begins on April 3rd, 2017.  See Crissy Ogden,Trip Coordinator for more details.
