Alzheimer's Support Group

The second Thursday of each month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Megan Maples, Group Facilitator

This group is for individuals who are currently caring for a loved one who has Alzheimer's or dementia. Support groups for caregivers provide a consistent and caring place for group members to discuss the challenges and problems of care giving, share their feelings, and find emotional support as well as exchange information and educate themselves about Alzheimer's disease.

Caregiver Support Group

The second and fourth Thursday of each month from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

Family caregivers are under a tremendous amount of stress as they care for their loved ones. The Family Caregiver Support Program utilizes TCARE (Tailored Caregiver Assessment and Referral). TCARE measures stress, depression and relationship burdens involved with caregiving. TCARE creates a better way for the Family Caregiver Specialist to target services based on the caregivers' specific needs.

Grief Support Group: Living With Change

The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

The members of the Living with Change group offer comfort and support, helping each other through our painful journeys of losing a loved one-whether a family member of other loss, whether recent, anticipated or in the past. Deailing with sorrow is a difficult experience, and we've found that sharing our stories eases our grief. We warmly welcome new attendees with sympathy and understanding. Everyone is free to participate or just listen.
